About this item
The SparkFun Open-Log Artemis (without IMU) is a compact, powerful, and easy-to-use data logger designed for capturing serial data directly to a microSD card without requiring a host microcontroller to constantly manage logging. Powered by the Ambiq Apollo3 Blue microcontroller, it offers high-performance, ultra-low power consumption, making it ideal for long-term logging applications such as environmental monitoring, GPS data recording, or robotics debugging. Unlike its IMU-equipped sibling, this version of Open-Log Artemis excludes the inertial measurement unit, focusing solely on efficient and reliable serial data logging. It supports UART communication speeds up to 115,200 baud, and can log data in plain text format for easy analysis. The onboard real-time clock (RTC) adds timestamps to data entries, improving post-processing and synchronization. The device supports microSD cards up to 32 GB, allowing for extended data storage. It is fully programmable with Arduino and CircuitPython, providing users flexibility to customize logging behavior or add additional functionality. Status LEDs offer clear indication of power and data logging activity. The small form factor and simple serial interface make the Open-Log Artemis (without IMU) an excellent choice for embedded developers and hobbyists looking to log serial data with minimal fuss.Specifications
