The DFRobot Gravity: Photoelectric High Accuracy Liquid Level Sensor is a compact, non-contact sensor designed to detect the presence of liquid at a specific level in a container. Using photoelectric infrared technology, it detects changes in light refraction when liquid is present or absent at the sensor’s tip, providing a highly accurate and reliable signal. Unlike traditional float or mechanical sensors, this sensor has no moving parts, making it more durable and resistant to wear, vibration, and corrosion. It is ideal for use with non-metallic containers like plastic or glass and works with a variety of liquids such as water, oil, and chemicals (excluding highly corrosive or thick materials). The sensor outputs a digital signal and supports 3.3V to 5V systems, ensuring compatibility with most microcontrollers, including Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi.
