The SparkFun Sound Detector (SEN-14262) is a compact audio sensing board that offers three simultaneous outputs: an analog envelope, a digital gate, and an audio signal. The envelope output provides an analog voltage proportional to the sound amplitude, while the gate output delivers a binary signal indicating the presence of sound above a set threshold. The audio output delivers the raw microphone signal. Users can adjust the gain using a through-hole resistor to modify the sensitivity of the gate output.
