The NodeMCU BU01 is a development board that integrates the BU01 UWB module with an STM32F103 microcontroller, enabling Ultra-Wideband (UWB) communication over SPI. Powered by the Decawave DW1000 IC, it offers precise indoor/outdoor positioning with up to 10cm accuracy—far more reliable than RSSI-based BLE/Wi-Fi localization. Ideal for evaluating UWB before custom development, it supports multi-anchor setups for accurate tag tracking. UWB transmits data using nanosecond pulses across a wide spectrum, achieving high-speed communication and exceptional precision. Factory firmware includes AT command support for accessing temperature, humidity, and acceleration data, making this board a versatile tool for UWB experimentation
