The Intel® RealSense™ ID Solution F455 is a compact, high-performance facial authentication peripheral designed for secure access control applications. It integrates an active stereo depth sensor with a specialized neural network, enabling on-device processing for rapid and reliable user authentication. The F455 offers a wide vertical field of view (56° × 78°), accommodating users from 120 cm to 190 cm in height, and operates effectively within a range of 0.3 to 1 meter. This makes it suitable for various environments, including kiosks, ATMs, point-of-sale systems, and smart access control solutions. Security is paramount in the F455, featuring AES 256-bit encryption and a secure element to protect user data. The system boasts a false acceptance rate of 1 in 1,000,000 and a spoof acceptance rate of less than 0.1%, ensuring robust defense against unauthorized access attempts. The device authenticates users in less than a second, with a true acceptance rate of 99.76%, and supports both indoor and outdoor operation with its infrared illuminators. The F455 connects to host systems via USB 2.0 Type-C and offers auxiliary interfaces including SPI and GPIOs. It is compatible with Windows, Linux, and Android operating systems, and is programmable using C++. The module is compact, measuring 32.5 mm × 62 mm × 11 mm, and includes multiple mounting options for versatile integration into various devices.
